Star Wheel Press are a four piece band from Perthshire Scotland namely Ryan Hannigan (Vocals), Craig Milton (Guitar), James Gallagher (Bass) and Christopher Martin Smith (Drums).
The name Star Wheel Press comes from an old etching press in (artist) Hannigan's studio. His deep bass tones and almost talking style mixed with slide guitars and lo-fi arrangements helps create an individual, timeless sound.
This is for those who like an alternative approach to country - a different perspective on the banjo - a wandering with the pedal steel and a conversation with the honest. Among the guests and friends featured on the album are Riley Briggs from ‘Aberfeldy’ and Kirsten Adamson from ‘The Gillyflowers’.
Each cover is hand printed on a Stephenson Blake proofing press using Letterpress and woodcuts.
